Netplayseeker by Replica (Offline) Closed no longer in use uncomplete Alpha.Netplayseeker: Netplayseeker.com is a versatile gaming launcher created by Replica which is myself, designed to breathe new life into classic game source ports and DOS games. It offers a user-friendly interface with a comprehensive rooms list, facilitating online play with fellow enthusiasts. The platform stands out with its support for UPNP, streamlining the port forwarding process for a smoother gaming experience. Additionally, it integrates with NetDuke32 and hDuke, providing robust support for team-based games. Whether you're looking to revisit the golden age of gaming or enjoy retro titles with friends, Netplayseeker.com is your gateway to nostalgic multiplayer adventures. With this Project I learned quite allot and it's still good today for setting up hDuke Team Duke games but not updated anymore and offline/online as it was a big Project I worked on at the time and more for personnel use now and it would be better to code it again but without the need for any port forwarding. If you find Netplayseeker online feel free to check it out to see what I worked on, but the games supported isn't a huge list as it was still being developed, however I would like to remake it from scratch but may not even bother or have the time and if I did write something I would add the ability to create rooms without needing the players port to be open this is what I will do most likely then it's the case of what games it will support and if I create some Relay Servers and support IPv6 then it should be pretty neat, having the ability to code such amazing apps is what excites me on reviving old games and being able to write amazing tools so far in Borland Delphi coding language. Had a few ideas of a Ranking System but that's just a thought not necessarily for Duke Nukem 3D but might support some Source Ports for it! You are still free to check out the old website for Netplayseeker with screenshots to see what it looked like a while back and what was actually worked on at the time by myself! NukemNet by aaBlueDragonNukemNet: is a dedicated multiplayer launcher developed by the talented aaBlueDragon, also known as Alon Amir. It's designed to bring together enthusiasts of classic games, providing a platform for them to connect and play beloved retro titles in a modern multiplayer setting. The launcher is compatible with a variety of old-school games, making it a go-to destination for gamers seeking a trip down memory lane. A key feature of NukemNet is its implementation of Relay servers. These servers are a game-changer for players who want to avoid the technical challenges of port forwarding. Relay servers act as a middleman, facilitating the connection between players without the need to configure network settings or modify firewall rules. This not only simplifies the process of getting into a game but also adds a layer of security by keeping players' IP addresses private. In summary, NukemNet offers a hassle-free and secure way to enjoy the classics, thanks to its innovative use of Relay servers, ensuring that players can focus on the fun and camaraderie of gaming without worrying about network issues. |
